For single men or men with children seeking shelter, please visit our shelter location at 142 North 6th Street, Steubenville, OH, 43952. You do not need to call first, but if you have questions, our shelter staff can be reached at 740.283.1621.
For single women or women with children seeking shelter, please visit our shelter location at 408 North 5th Street, Steubenville, OH, 43952. You do not need to call first, but if you have questions, our shelter staff can be reached at 740.283.1621.
For families seeking shelter, please call 740.283.1621 or visit one of our shelters listed above. In the event that one of our family apartments are available, we will direct you there first.
Our shelters are considered low barrier shelters, but we are unable to accept guests on the Sexual Offender Registry at this time.
No ID is needed to stay at the shelter, although we encourage you to bring your important documents with you.
At an Urban Mission shelter, guests receive wrap around services so that they can locate permanent housing, a steady income, and community resources as they transition into a stable living situation. Spiritual care services, life skills and empowerment classes and work opportunities are also available to shelter guests while staying at the Urban Mission.
